What's a "query"?

One successful /v1/check response for one IP. Errors don't count. Quotas are daily and reset at 00:00 UTC.

Frequently asked questions

What exactly is a query?
One query is one successful /v1/check response for one IP address. A request that returns a 4xx/5xx error does not count. Plans are sold as a flat daily lookup quota — when you hit it you're rate-limited, never billed an overage.
Do you charge per query or for overage?
No. Pricing is flat per plan. There is no metered per-query billing and no surprise overage invoice. If you consistently need more than Scale's 10M/day, talk to us about volume pricing.
Is a credit card required for the free tier?
No card for Free. You add a card only when you upgrade to a paid plan.
Can I change plans or cancel anytime?
Yes. Upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time from your dashboard. Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe.
What's the attribution requirement on Free?
On the Free tier you must keep a visible "Powered by GeoQ" / DB-IP attribution as described on our attributions page. Paid plans remove that requirement.
Do you offer a signed DPA?
Yes — a Data Processing Agreement is available on Growth and Scale. See our DPA and subprocessors.
